A watch that fits looks better and feels better. Case diameter is only part of the story — here is how to get it right.
1. Measure your wrist
Wrap a strip of paper around your wrist just below the wrist bone, mark it and measure it against a ruler.
- Under 16 cm: 34–38 mm cases
- 16–18 cm: 38–42 mm cases
- Over 18 cm: 42–46 mm cases
2. Check lug-to-lug width
The lugs should never hang over the edge of your wrist. Look for the lug-to-lug measurement in the specifications — it should be smaller than the width of the top of your wrist.
3. Think about thickness
A thin dress watch (under 10 mm) slides under a shirt cuff; a diver or chronograph (12–14 mm) sits higher and looks sportier.
